Better Days to Come
01-01-12, Speaker: Pastor Cesar Crisostomo
Psalm 145:1-21
We start a new calendar year with new resolutions and aspirations to make changes in our lives. Many celebrated in different ways ushering in the New Year. For some it was loud, joyful with family and friends. For others it might have been quiet with their loved ones and some might have been alone. No matter how we celebrated ushering the New Year 2012, one thing that I am most certain of is that people are praying and hoping for better days to come.
All of us have had bad days in life and some of you might be facing challenging days that you can't wait for it to end. But be informed that there are better days to come because our God is righteous in all His ways and loving toward all He has made and faithful to all His promises (Psalm 145:13).
Remember:
1. God does not let go, but He restores (v. 14; Matthew 11:28-29).
2. God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus (vs. 15-19; Philippians 4:19; 1 Corinthians 2:9).
3. In all things that we are more than conquerors through Christ (vs. 18-20; Romans 8:35-39).
4. God will act: He will hear, He will fulfill and He will save (v. 19; Hebrews 13:5-6).
5. Have faith that a better day is coming (Hebrews 11:1; Jeremiah 29:11).
6. Start each day with God's perspective.
7. Don't get stuck in the past.
8. Get rid of bitter attitude.
- Do not allow unforgiveness and bitterness steal your joy.
- People will hurt you and disappoint you, but don't let them destroy you.
Discussion Questions:
1. What does this lesson reveal to me about God?
2. What does this lesson reveal to me about myself?
3. How will I be different today because of what I have learned? What changes do I need to make?
4. What is my prayer for today?
